Basics of Candlestick Charts

Each candlestick shows four key pieces of price information for a specific time period (1 min, 5 min, 1 hour, 1 day, etc.):

• Open – Price at the start of the period
• Close – Price at the end of the period
• High – Highest price during the period
• Low – Lowest price during the period

Bullish candle (usually green or white): Close > Open
Bearish candle (usually red or black): Close < Open
